An anonymous, and said to be trustworthy tipster, told GoNintendo that Wii owners based in North America will be getting Ghosts n’ Goblins (NES), Baseball Stars 2 (NeoGeo), and Pokemon Snap (N64) on the Virtual Console.
If this rumor holds true, then we’re going to be getting some really great games next week.
For those who can’t remember (or refuse to remember) Ghosts n’ Goblins, it was and still is one of the most difficult games to ever grace the arcades and the NES. This platformer has gamers controlling a knight named Arthur as he goes on a quest to save Princess Prin-Prin from Astaroth.
Baseball Stars 2 for the NeoGeo is a two player baseball game released by SNK way back in 1992. Since the rumor specifically labeled this game as the NeoGeo version, we’re assuming that they mean the cartoony arcade version. This game has 18 different teams and offers two leagues for players to win.
Finally we have Pokemon Snap for the N64. Players are put into the shoes of a budding photographer Todd Snap who has to take pictures of various Pokemon for Professor Oak. The game is very different from the other Pokemon titles since it is pretty much plays like an “on-rails shooter” with a camera instead of a gun.
