US Virtual Console update: Zanac, Eternal Champions, and The Dynastic Hero

To those just waking up to their (late) morning coffee, we’re letting you know that North America‘s Virtual Console for the Nintendo Wii has updated with another set of classic games. This latest batch carries Zanac, Eternal Champions, and Dynastic Hero.

Originally built for the NES in 1986, Zanac takes players behind the controls of a space fighter, in a fast-paced vertical scrolling shoot-’em-up.

Twelve areas of conflict await you, with up to eight weapons being available for your use. And you’re gonna need them too – Zanac‘s difficulty changes real-time depending on how well you play. Zanac is rated T, and is currently available for 500 Wii Points.

How far will you go for a second chance? Answer the question with Eternal Champions, originally from the Sega Genesis gaming system. This title will have you choosing one of nine top-tier fighters from around the world, all of whom met an untimely death. Redemption awaits these lost souls if they defeat the Eternal Champion. Rated T by the ESRB, and available for 800 Wii Points.

The TurboGrafx16 gaming system brings us an adventure of insectoid proportions by way of The Dynastic Hero. Play as Dyna, the prince of the Beetras, as he rids the land of Tarron from the vile clutches of the Drilkor Empire. Action aside, the game also offers an intellectual slice with its multiple-choice quizzes, puzzles, and the proper usage of Dyna’s ocarina to open doors. Dynastic Hero is rated E, and is now available for 800 Wii Points.
