Valkyria Chronicles 2 confirmed for Western release

Yes! Sega has come through for PSP owners the world over. They’ve just confirmed that the PSP-exclusive sequel to Valkyria Chronicles will be released outside Japan.

Valkyria Chronicles 2 is set two years after the first game. The setting will be a Gallian school named Randgriz Royal Academy where the hero is a probational officer forced into action when civil war erupts in Gallia.

Valkyria Chronicles 2 is slated for a Summer 2010 release. In the meantime, check out the announcement trailer below. It’s really just the same as the one for Japan.
