Valkyrie Profile: The Accused One Japanese debut trailer

Valkyrie Profile: The Accused One's Lenneth - Image 1Heads up, Valkyrie Profile fans! We finally have solid proof that Square Enix and tri-Ace‘s Valkyrie Profile: The Accused One for the Nintendo DS is not just a cruel joke from the goddesses of fate. What we have is its Japanese debut trailer oozing with CG goodness, and you can find it at the full article.

Eyebrows were raised and frustration ensued when Square Enix discretely revealed a project by revered developer tri-Ace that we only discovered through scans of Japanese magazines without proper details to bank on. Fortunately, we can now rest assured that Valkyrie Profile: The Accused One for the Nintendo DS does hold promise evidenced by its debut trailer.

Lenneth Valkyrie is indeed back, but not without new companions. In Valkyrie Profile: The Accused One‘s trailer, Lenneth is seen lifting the soul of a dead warrior which fans know as the process necessary to turn valiant fighters into einherjar who are allies of the valkyrie.

It is said that the protagonist in Valkyrie Profile: The Accused One is a man named Wilfred so he can be the fallen person, but we have doubts after previous descriptions led us to believe he’s a human in the flesh. One thing’s for sure: if this Japanese debut trailer is not followed by an announcement for the game’s western release, Ragnarok between followers of Lenneth and Square Enix will be inevitable.
