Vanguard: Saga of Heroes combat footage

vanguard saga of heroes

Sony and Sigil Games Online has just released a new trailer from their upcoming RPG, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes. If you wanna know more about how the combat aspect of the game plays out, we suggest you download the vid because this footage shows you a few of Telon‘s low-level creatures in battle and how they struggle to work the weapons and spells at their disposal.

For those not in the know, Vanguard users will be able to choose among three spheres of advancement: Adventuring, Crafting, and Diplomacy. Now, for those of you who can proudly say that you kick major ass in combat (“I majored in RPG Combat!”), Adventuring would probably be the best path for you to take to advance in the game. But for those of you who are wickedly witty and possesses convincing powers, you can use diplomacy to persuade kings to move armies and alter the course of history… all because of your quick mind and wit.

As we also told you about in a previous post, you can also unleash your artsy fartsy self via the game’s Crafting feature. You can customize player housing, craft your own boats, flying mounts, and whatnots. Total freedom for creativity, baybee! Vanguard offers all this and more, which you’ll be able to check out once the game hits shelves Q1 of 2007. Vanguard: Saga of Heroes is currently in closed beta, so keep checking back with us for more updates. Enjoy the vid!
