Two more blasts from the past have arrived on Australia‘s Virtual Console on the Wii, as we announce the availability of StarTropics and Alien Storm.

Originally released to the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) back in 1990, StarTropics tells the story of Mike Jones, a star pitcher from Seattle who soon finds himself on adventure to save his uncle, Dr. J, from the clutches of an alien race within the territories of C-Island.

Those with a taste for more up-front alien-blasting action will want to check out Alien Storm, an arcade title that was eventually ported to the Sega Genesis. Choose one of three different Alien Busters – Karen, Garth, and Scooter – as you move between tasks such as rescuing civilians, and destroying hostile UFOs.
