VC Europe: Star Parodier, Digital Champ Battle Boxing, and Gley Lancer now available
We’re letting the Wii owners in Europe know that Nintendo has released three more games to their territory. These games were originally exclusive to the territories of North America and Japan, so it’ll be quite a treat. Find out more about them over in the full article.
Ready for another round of Japan retro-gaming goodness, thanks to Nintendo’s Hanabi Festival celebration? As promised, three previously Japan and North America-only titles are now available for Europe‘s players: Gley Lancer, Star Parodier, and Digital Champ Battle Boxing.
Fans of traditional shooters will certainly want to keep an eye on Gley Lancer (Sega Megadrive) and Star Parodier (TurboGrafx-16). Gley Lancer (aka Grey Lancer), puts players in the perspective of Lucia, a 16 year old pilot who has stolen the CSH-01-XA Gleylancer prototype to rescue her father from a mysterious alien race.
Those who prefer a less serious storyline will want to check out Star Parodier, a spoof of Hudson Soft‘s Star Soldier series of vertical shooters (its latest installment is arriving as WiiWare). Bomberman’s just one of several playable characters you can use, along with the original Star Soldier fighter, and even a PC Engine.
Lastly, we’ve got Digital Champ: Battle Boxing, which was originally released to the TurboGrafx platform. The game puts players in an FPS-style perspective, with each hand getting assigned its own button. That’s the latest with regard to Europe’s VC lineup.
