Video: Call of Duty 4 New Content and Customization Interview
An ammo cache’s worth of information bullets headed your way in this latest video interview of Activision‘s Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360) that talks about the new content and customization features of the game. We get you the skinny on what’s to expect with this wartime shooter with all the bells and whistles of today’s combat technology, as well as a few new surprises along the way.
Let’s talk new content first. It seems that Infinity Ward actually went all-out into packing as much new content into the game as possible, with the most notable being the tons of new game modes that FPS fans will be sure to appreciate. Two of these promise modes are as follows: Experience Mode, which lets you level up as you progress through the game to create a character that pretty much caters to your playstyle, and Hardcore Mode, where the HUD is all but eliminated and a few shots will be enough to down anyone.
As for the customization, CoD4 not only lets you pick among a variety of classes to choose from, it lets you create your own. Another big feature is being able to customize not only your character, but also your gun. Want a silencer? You got it. A longer barrel? No problem. Bigger clip. Consider it done. You can even change the color of it and how it looks.
For those of us wondering about whether we’ll be able to drive anything in Call of Duty 4, sadly, we won’t be able to, as the development team has concentrated all their efforts into making Infantry combat the best it could be. And from the way the gameplay looks, the trade-off’s not that bad at all.
More updates as we get them. In the meantime, enjoy the video!
