Video: Halo 3 Epsilon beta gameplay footage

We reported the first sightings and the confirmation of Halo 3 Epsilon’s beta in earlier posts. If you were invited for the closed run, you’re very lucky. For the rest of you who weren’t so fortunate, we have something to at least soothe your yearnings with this gameplay footage. Have a look:

The first part of the clip may not look too far off from what we’ve seen on past clips, but there’s actually more. There’s a short story sequence where the marines are given a little pep talk by the commander right before their big siege. Details on what they want to do with the prophet and the ark are dropped so listen in.

The launch date is inching ever so close and like a king closing in, Microsoft and Bungie Studios are trumpeting their marquee game louder than ever. Can Halo 3 live up to its own hype? We’ll find out soon enough.
