Interesting bits, actually. If you want to learn more, just follow the video interview after the jump.

Rainbow Studios lead designer”>Jordan Itkowitz, lead designer for Rainbow Studios’ Deadly Creatures, afforded IGN a little chat about their upcoming creepy-crawlin’ Wii title.

For those of you still not getting what the fuss is all about these deadly, stingy creatures, Itkowitz explains that the game essentially plays up the contrast between the life at their (creepy crawlers) level and that of man – their most dangerous enemy. Yeah, that sure is some twist right there. We’ll be getting the lowdown of how it’s like to be the unwanted creatures scampering across kitchen floors.

As for their preference between the scorpion or the tarantula, he says that they’ve actually gotten a liking for both, and in fact has now nicknamed them Lance and Bill – names, which of course won’t be showing up in the final game. But individually, they’ve both got their charms, of course.

The scorpion (Lance) is more of the upfront brawler, just getting in there and snapping away those pincers, while the tarantula (Bill), is more of the natural ninja, using a lot more stealth.

So, heed the advice of Jordan Itkowitz: “If you have arachnophobia, start booking your therapy sessions now, otherwise we’ll see you in fall.” In the meantime, check out the video interview.
