Sonic the Hedgehog another opportunity to
run amuck inside a PS3, this time plugged into American AC power outlets. GameTrailers took their own opportunity to hit up
Sega of America's product manager
Ben Harrison to talk about that blue blur running around in
Sony's next-gen console, as well as showcase Sonic, Shadow, and Silver in PS3 action.
And this is what you get for migrating to the next generation, says Ben. Expansive environments. More "naturalistic" colors. Sheer numbers of objects and enemies moving around at any given time. Havok-powered physics. Interaction with
Princes Elise (okay, and other humans) in the world.
It's all we've heard and reported before, to be truthful about it, but now we see it running specifically on a PS3. It's still not the final product - Ben says "70, 75% complete," with a holiday release target - but it looks like a solid Sonic from where we're sitting. Now if we could only see
EliseLacey Elise in all her PS3-rendered glory...
