Video: iPad with Flash? Not so fast

ipadSome people have downplayed the recently launched iPad from Apple, calling it an oversized iPhone. Well, this new bit of information just won’t be helping Apple’s case any better as it dangles some more false hopes of an integrated Flash program in the iPad. Not to say it’s Apple’s fault, though.

Some people have downplayed the recently launched iPad from Apple, calling it an oversized iPhone. Well, this new bit of information just won’t be helping Apple’s case any better as it dangles some more false hopes of an integrated Flash program in the iPad. Not to say it’s Apple’s fault, though.

The video below shows the iPad using the New York Times. Looks sweet, huh? And probably enough to make you change your mind about hating on the iPad in a Flash (pun fully intended). But there’s a red flag right there.

The odd thing about this whole thing is that Adobe has actually come out to boo out Apple and iPad because, well, they’re not using Adobe. So really, it’s confounding how the Adobe folks could have missed the memo that they are actually featured in the iPad.

Unless, of course, a) the iPad has already been hacked to include Flash, or b) someone’s just gonna get fired from Adobe for not getting the said memo. Or better yet, c), there really is no Flash in the iPad, and this video is just using optimized images to take the place of Flash to make the web pages load faster in Apple commercials.

According to 9to5mac’s Chiat/Day Media Art Lab source, it’s letter C. So, yeah, if you see this video somewhere else and people are jumping up and down with joy, enlighten them. They deserver to know the real deal. That’s the false hope right there.

And so the haters of iPad remain to be haters.
