Video: TNA iMPACT ready to rumble

Ever since the old WCW was dismantled, the WWE’s wrestling video game franchises stood unchallenged in the virtual ring. It might have taken about a decade, but there’s finally a challenger who’s stepping up.

Midway Games, in association with the Total Non-Stop Action wrestling promotion, is bringing in TNA Impact to the Sony PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii and Microsoft Xbox 360 to provide an alternative to the WWE-THQ monopoly. Featuring all of its current stars, the title is promising some serious action on all three platforms.

The video above is an official teaser that they released via Gamespot. Not a whole lot is known about how the gameplay will be, but the developers are promising innovation and intensity in one box. Will we see a new champ when TNA Impact arrives? We’ll just have to wait and see.
