Video: Tomb Raider Anniversary dev diary 2 and the Coliseum trailer

We’ve posted a lofty number of articles in the past regarding Tomb Raider Anniversary for the PC and the Sony PlayStation Portable and a number of trailers have come out to tease fans everywhere. This one takes another behind-the-scenes look and delves into the soundtrack aspect of the 1996 classic. The sound team had their hands full in trying to create the perfect audio environment that will provide nostalgia without stagnating the franchise’s evolutionary process. See and hear the videos below:

The second trailer (behind the Full Article link) also features a familiar locale where Lara sticks her nose- and her pistols- into: The Coliseum. The place is looking good in the remastered version and the sounds look like they’ll hold up to the billing. Emphasis has been given to the animation of enemies, human or animal, and the devs claim they’ll be badder and better than ever.

The idea, as the team suggests, is to introduce new gamers to the experience they missed without driving the fanboys nits with changes that will dilute the original. We’ve all got our fingers crossed that team Anniversary pulls out all the stops.
