Video tutorial for running PS2 backups on PS3

PS3Hax has released a tutorial (complete with video) on how to play PS2 ISOs on the PlayStation 3. Note: this process needs a launch PS3 (with the Emotion Engine) for this. Emulation‘s not gonna cut it. Details after the link.

PS3Hax has released a tutorial (complete with video) on how to play PS2 ISOs on the PlayStation 3. Note: this process needs a launch PS3 (with the Emotion Engine) for this. Emulation‘s not gonna cut it.

This has only been reported to work on the Japanese launch consoles, but according to PS3Hax’s FAQ, the process is said to work on some NTSC consoles with the Emotion Engine. It doesn’t work with PAL models though.

The process also needs Swap Magic 3.6+ or 3.8, and a flash drive (a PSP in USB mode or an external HDD will also work). For the complete set of instructions, visit the source link.
