Videos: Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction previewed at Sony Spring Gamer’s Day

As promised, here’s a bit more on the onstage demonstration of Insomniac Games‘ Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. As we’ve previously reported, the new RPG-item-like combat devices was a hit with the crowd. The Groove-a-tron, a weapon that causes enemies within it’s disco-ball colored lights to dance, was particularly popular.

Also noteworthy in the video are the new weapons designed to get around enemies with shields that deflect light attacks. It turns out that the Buzz Blades (a new weapon) are quite effective at getting around shields.

We really don’t want to spoil anything, but we also have to note that the “grinding” portion of the demo, just seems like pure genius. Fun, fun stuff.
