Viewtiful Joe: Battle Carnival – Dante Joining The Fight to Be The Main Character!

Capcom will be releasing the PSP game “Viewtiful Joe: Battle Carnival” on March 23, at a price 5,040 JPY ($42.7 USD). The game will be supporting the AdHoc WiFi function of the PSP to deliver multiplayer modes.

Viewtiful Joe: Battle Carnival is an arranged version of the homonymic game released on Nintendo GameCube back in September of 2005. The “Captain Blue” who is hoping for a retirement, has announced that he will be making a new movie, and is recruiting a new hero for the movie. All the stars from the TV animations have gathered to compete for this position in the movie. The game supports up to 4 players in a WiFi multiplayer game, with sharing only one copy of the UMD game.

The most significant characteristic of the PSP version will be Dante from the “Devil May Cry” series by the same company. Dante’s “Devil Trigger” will also be available in this game. Dante will be changed into a devil-like appearance with his attack/defense largely boosted for a short while.
