Visceral: 3D in Dead Space 2 a possibility
3D is all the rage in games today. It’s therefore no wonder that everyone wants to find out if their anticipated games will make use of this technology upon their respective releases. Visceral Games, in their panal at the PAX 10 event, was one of those who was asked if they will be using 3D, particularly for Dead Space 2.

Their response to that stamtent is that one of the little secrets as to 3D tech is that it’s not really compatible with HUD in games because “it sort of violates the space.” What do you know, Dead Space 2 does not have HUD, so definitely, the “would be a step ahead in that regard.”
But while that seemed like a definite possibility, Visceral Games reiterated that their focus right now is to create a “kick-ass game” for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC “first and foremost”.
Dead Space 2 comes out for the Xbox 360 on Q1 of 2011.
