Visiting Lord of the Rings Online’s Michel Delving

Michael Delving

J.R.R. Tolkien may have only given us a brief look at Michel Delving, but it is undeniable that the village is an important place in the Lord of the Rings saga. Let me show the wonders this place offers.

Michale Delving is the urban center of the Shire. It is the heart of skilled trades, politics, and the latest gossips from the furthest corners of the Four Farthings.

Being the center of activity, it is but natural that a few of the important landmarks are located here. Town Hole, the mayoral seat of the most-talked about figure (he is topic of almost every political talks, local gossip, and village jeers and jibe) Will “Flourdumpling” Whitfoot, is located here. Other places to visit in this village are the chief Shirriff-house, offices of the Bounders, and the central offices of the Shire’s postal service. If ever you make a stop at Michel Delving, make sure to visit Mathom-house, home of the Shire-history relics such as Bandboras “Bullroarer” Took’s legendary club.

With Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar, you’ll get to see more of the urban part of the Shire. Not only that, you will also get to interact with characters from the book like Mayor Whitfoot and get to see all the amazing landmarks I have just described. So next time you log on to Lord of the Rings Online, don’t forget to take a walk through Michel Delving.
