Volition on Saints Row DLC Patch: Don’t Use It Until Officially Released
Jason Triplett, the man behind Rated-M.com has posted the supposed official statement from game developer Volition regarding the problematic Saints Row DLC patch leaked a few days ago. The “official statement,” according Triplett, was handed to him directly by a developer from Volition (hey! where’s our copy?) and it goes like this:
“It will work when it needs to. I’ll say it officially, in bold text: You probably shouldn’t use the DLC until it’s officially released.
It’s not available everywhere, for one (for instance, you can’t get it in Illinois) – and it’s been released prematurely. We’re not mad at people for having it- we just want them to understand that it won’t function properly until it’s officially released, and it’s because it wasn’t planned to be released at this time.”
We can’t verify this statement at this time because we couldn’t find any other sites carrying this “official statement”, however it may actually be a good idea to not use a patch until the people behind it declare that the coast is clear. It could be a scoop for Triplett, but eitherway, who knows what a possibly-damaged or incomplete patch can do to your system?
