Yesterday, reports went around about Wal-Mart‘s online preorder page for Nintendo’s much anticipated Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii. According to said reports, the video game title was only advertised for USD 19.82, 30 bucks less than its original price. Now before you start kicking yourself for not taking advantage of the offer, here’s the clincher: Wal-Mart has cancelled the said preorders.
And well, hordes of disappointed the buyers got an email from Wal-Mart saying, “We have received your request to cancel the item(s) listed below from your order.” While it happens that typos in retail websites (sadly, usually in pricing), some gamers did not like Wal-Mart’s email as it implies that they, the gamers, cancelled the orders themselves.
