War World on XBLA by mid 2007
War World was released for the PC earlier this year. The game from the Australian company Third Wave Games (published by Lighthouse Interactive) is a fast-paced “FPS with a 3rd person viewpoint” (according to the game’s official site at warworld.net). Now it’s coming to Xbox Live Arcade around the middle of 2007.
It’s all about mechanized warriors going at it with lots of weapons (that’s more than 50 weapons and defense upgrades) – on maps that really make the action come to the fore. The PC version has four different multiplayer modes: capture the flag, bomb assault, death match, and team death match. We’re not sure if all four modes are going to be on Xbox Live Arcade, but why shouldn’t they be?
The PC game got rave reviews – getting 8s and 9s out of 10 from several websites. The PC game’s graphics are amazing, and when you see it in motion – it is fast-paced. In other words, this is a nice addition to the stable of games available on Xbox Live Arcade.
