Warhammer Online: an overview of Nordland

The Good Book speaks about turning swords into plowshares, but EA Mythic‘s Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning speaks the reverse. Not surprising, considering that Nordland is the Chaos Warhost’s next target. What is it about this region that makes it so important? Find out in the full article after the jump!

With the Nordland region populated with uncouth people of supposedly mixed blood, what could the forces of Chaos possibly want with it? Simple: in EA Mythic‘s Warhammer Onine: Age of Reckoning, Nordland is the last remaining bastion that stands in Tchar’zanek’s way. Beyond its borders lies the very heart of the Empire.

The people of Nordland may be tough, but the Chaos Warhost has already dealt the first blow in the form of a deadly plague spreading across the Empire. With the situation growing desperate, Emperor Karl Franz has dispatched the Order of the Griffon. Unencumbered by bureaucratic constraints, the job of this elite military force is to train, arm and compel the Nordland folk to fight against the advancing forces of Chaos.

Meanwhile, one Victor Riese has been tasked to prepare the villagers of Grimmenhagen for the grueling battle ahead. It is most unfortunate that even these peaceful farmers will be forced to take up arms against the Chaos Warhost, but the dire situation leaves the Empire little choice.
