Warhammer: Paul on characters and snot-beating

Paul Barnett

The human drama. It’s man vs. the elements, man vs. man, man vs. the self, and on the grandest scale, man versus his neighbor – the dude who house-trains his poodle on your freshly cut lawn. EA Mythic‘s  Warhammer: Age of Reckoning takes this human drama of neighbor feuds to a large-scale level, and on another IGN interview with the colorful Paul Barnett, we’ll be listening to a 5:35 in-depth explanation on Paul’s sentiments for the game’s races, and its character system.

Paul feels very strongly about the game’s character system, and he explains that the team went through great lengths to make sure each of the 24 different character classes in-game would not only be unique, but would be capable of joining in the game’s massive inter-racial fray. In the words of Paul:

There will be not be any namby-pamby healer-only classes. There is no sitting at the back, and going ‘I heal, and I heal, and I heal, and I heal, and I heal,’ ’cause it’s boring…every single character can do damage, every single character can make a significant attempt at beating the living snot out of people.

That’s just one of the many discussion Paul holds in this video, as he further explains the other classes that are capable the even greater lengths of snot-beating. Don’t take our word for it though – more of his explanations and fun gestures await in the video.
