Warhawk patch v1.1 released by accident, affects U.S. Blu-ray version owners
Due to undisclosed reasons, some Warhawk players in the U.S. were inadvertently able to download the game’s v1.1 patch before its official release. Apparently, U.S. players who bought the Blu-ray version of the game were the only ones affected.
Posting on the official PlayStation Blog, Warhawk game director Dylan Jobe advised those who downloaded the patch to do the following:
…for those players that were using the Blu-ray version of Warhawk that *did* update to v1.1 today, we advise that you go to the XMB (cross media bar), and in your “Game Data Utility”, delete your Warhawk game data. Once you’ve done that, just re-boot Warhawk and the game will re-install v1.0, allowing you to play with the 1.0 world again.
Jobe also assured affected gamers that deleting their Warhawk game data will not cause players to lose their stats or Save Data. Patch v1.1 has already been taken offline and is still on track for release at the end of this month.
