Warning: Thieves Target Wireless Cafes

In San Francisco, there are a large number of robberies occurring in wi-fi cafes. These thieves target the laptop owners and then mug them or in one case, stab the owner. The man who got stabbed stayed in the hospital for six days and these thieves took his Apple Powerbook worth around 2500 USD. Police states that the number of wi-fi cafe laptop theft is constantly increasing because last 2004, there were 18 robberies and last year, there were 48. Police estimates if these things would still happened, there would be at least 70 cases. Although this is disturbing news, most of the dire cases happened in San Francisco but still, this serves as a warning for wi-fi cafe goers.
