Warrior vs Paladin: who gets more plates?

The question for today: are quest rewards favorable for certain classes?

Ayita from the WoW Forums is concerned that the majority of plate quest rewards are for paladins and not for warriors. Imiko seconded that mail rewards are leaning toward shamans. It would seem that this is an argument about in-world balance but then it turned out to be a lively discussion on pure-bred characters vs hybrids (we ignored the NERF DRUIDS which turned up almost every other post).

Warriors are the tank class, while Paladins on the other hand are hybrids. They both need gear – we all do.

Anyway, Tseric answered that plate rewards lean more to the warriors (in The Burning Crusade) since paladins can wear “warrior plate more than warriors can use paladin plate.” According to him, “pooling quest rewards” doesn’t necessarily mean the rewards are weighing more on the paladin side.
