Wayne Gretzky to be on the cover of NHL Slapshot

Ryan Kesler may be on the cover of NHL 2K11, but for EA Sports’ Wiixclusive hockey game, NHL Slapshot, it’s going to be Wayne Gretzky. That’s right, Michael Jordan will not be the only sporting legend to be on the cover of a game this year.

Aside from being the face of the game, The Great One will also be your in-game mentor in the Career Mode. The game will also come bundled along with its own Wiimote peripheral which basically turns your remote into a little hockey stick.

 

NHL Slapshot will be released September 7th only for the Nintendo Wii.
