We want aliens, not chickens: 10 wishes for Halo 3
While Halo 3 is far from being officially announced, there must be something in the works over at Bungie – we’re talking about one of the most successful console franchises ever…so IGN got into dreamy fanboy-mode for a Halo 3 wishlist, which is certainly an entertaining read – here are the most interesting points they mention, aside from the usual “make everything better” comments.
Make Aliens more alien: Cut the Covenant with chicken voices, put freakier and creepier creatures into the game. The aliens in Halo and Halo 2 are behaving too humanlike, while ideas like the Flood and Hunters should be pursued and realized more often.
Where’s the Pistol?: Let’s face it, the pistol was a decent weapon in Halo, but it was in multiplayer where it truly shined, proving itself as one of the most effective and coolest weapons ever. In Halo 2, despite the dual wield, it’s gone. The annoying SMGs have taken it’s place,
Halo 3 can fix this mistake. (Please, Bungie! I’m hoping for that one too…)
Flashback levels: The Halo novels added a lot of depth to the game’s backstory and universe. They could provide the grounds for eventual flashbacks in Halo 3. Players could get to witness a young Master Chief in training with other SPARTANs, or the Fall of Reach. If done right, it would help the game’s pace, interest people who haven’t read the books yet in them, and in the case of other SPARTANs, justify their inclusion in the multiplayer modes.
For IGN’s other wishes, including the most wanted aspect, read below.
