Weekend Slowdown: the World’s Smallest Pac-Man game

If you haven’t noticed just yet, we’re well into the weekend, so yours truly will be writing this Weekend Slowdown. A really small one, considering it’s about the smallest Pac-Man game in the world.

A flash file no taller than a typical mouse cursor and twice as wide, Guimp.com’s miniature version of the beloved dot-eating, ghost-chasing videogame icon is surprisingly fun and addictive (it’s no Championship Edition, but it’s pretty cute). There’s only one maze and one ghost that’s on the prowl as you chow down on those dots, and it’s up to you to clear the maze of those glowing pixels without getting eaten.

And it’s not just Pac-Man you’ll be able to play in the overly-compact play screen. Click N when you’ve exhausted all your lives, and you’ll be able to choose from a variety of retro classics scrunched down to the same level of simplicity and size. So it’s not just the world’s smallest Pac-Man game, it’s the world’s smallest everything, at least when nostalgic titles are concerned.

If you’re curious and want to have a go at beating the tiny (but difficult, at least for us who unfortunately do not have perfect eyesight) game, you can click on the read link below.
