Weekly Update: VC titles for the week of May 30

ActRaiser is here! - Image 1As you might have noticed, there was a lengthy delay in the release of this week’s Weekly Update for the Virtual Console. Needless to say, our internet hamsters had a tough time this week, but things should be more or less back to normal by next week, with only slight delays for chocolate milk and doughnuts.

In any event, what are the regularly scheduled Virtual Console releases for this week?

For starters we have Kid Chameleon, a Sega Genesis game that puts you in the shoes of the town’s best gamer. You’ve got to make your way into your favorite game worlds, rescuing less skilled players who were sucked into the games along the way.

Next up is J.J. & Jeff for the TurboGrafx 16. It tells the story of two awful detectives who have to work together to saved a kidnapped man. As can be expected of many kidnap victims, the guy’s wealthy too, so you’ve got to rush your way through six different levels to rescue him.

Lastly, you get to become the Master this week, as ActRaiser comes to the virtual console. In this SNES game, you’re the Master, and you’ve got to take down the Evil One and his cronies to make the world safe for humanity again. If that sounds like the tale of God from the point of view of a game developer, then you’re probably right.

In any case, you can grab Kid Chameleon for 600 Wii Points, with J.J. & Jeff and ActRaiser costing you 800 Wii Points a piece. Enjoy!
