So? What will come in a Wii box? Well, according to Nintendo of Japan‘s press release, Japanese gamers can expect the following:

• Wii Console (1)
• WiiMote Strap (1)
• Nunchuck Attachment (1)
• AC Adapter (1)
• AV Cable (1)
• Stand (1)
• Support Plate (1)
• Sensor Bar (1)
• Sensor Bar Stand (1)
• AA Batteries (2)

What is a support plate? What does “WiiMote Strap” mean? I have no idea, actually. Nintendo didn’t exactly explain that in the press release.

The contents of the box will likely be different in North America. We are supposedly getting Wii Sports bundled and, hopefully, an extra controller. And we’re getting the console earlier than them. As reported during the conference, the Wii will be released in Japan on December 2nd. More news as it develops!
