Speed speed speed. Usually, when you're racing cars, you'd need a whole lot of money. Repairs, tune-ups, not to mention buying the actual car itself. Thanks to videogames, racing fans don't have to shell out obscene amounts of dough to get their speed fix, and thanks to homebrew, you can even get the games for free.
Today we've got one such game for you guys: Whee! DS, an incredibly fun 3D racing game for - you guessed it - the DS. When you start a new game in Whee! DS, you only have a single track to run through and in order to unlock the next track, you have to win that first one. This piece of homebrew goodness has randomly generated tracks, so if you're looking for something with great replay value then this game has that by the bucketload.
The D-Pad is used for steering, the A button for acceleration, and the B button for brake/sharper turning. You can use the L and R buttons for items. According to Tassu, the one who coded Whee! DS, the game "uses SRAM for saving and doesn't give a warning or anything like that before formatting," so be extra careful when you hit that save button.
Give the download link below a little click to get your hands on Whee! DS.
