The official Gran Turismo site has just released more information for the upcoming retail release of Polyphony Digital‘s Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. And from the looks of it, Japan‘s PlayStation 3 denizens are in for quite a ride – the full game is confirmed to carry a total of 37 cars (as opposed to the couple listed before as unconfirmed), including the Nissan GT-R that’s apparently become the title’s poster boy.
Of course, hot wheels will need an equally hot set of tracks to play on – we’ve also confirmed that Prologue will carry a total of five tracks, including the Suzuka Circuit that was seen in last month’s demo. Given that each track is playable in two different layouts, that gives players a total of 10 possible racing experiences.
On a related note, the update also details that several online features will be added to GT5 Prologue by Christmas (December 25). You can view their details at the list down below. Full game specs are available at the official GT site via the source link.
Prologue it set ot launch in Japan this December 13; the Blu-Ray copy will sell for ¥ 4,980 (US$ 45), while downloadable from the PlayStation Store will cost ¥ 4,500 (US$ 40).
