Ever wondered how your pets would take to the next-gen consoles? Would they snuggle up to it for warmth, sniff it warily or just simply plop on top of it and fall asleep? Well, as two unfortunate people have found out, some pets consider the latest gaming technology as nothing more than chew toys.
As Ben Ackerman relates in his blog, he sold his Xbox 360 along with an extra controller and some games, and of course dutifully shipped it off to its new owner via UPS after he has received payment for it. Alas, the UPS people apparently never learn and decided to leave the package containing the console on the buyer's front porch since no one was home (aren't they supposed to leave cards instead which tells you that you have a package to pick up?). Unfortunately, the buyer's DOGS were home, saw the package, and decided to make an early Christmas out of it by unwrapping it and enjoying their new plastic chew toys.
Thankfully though, stories like this tend to come to a happy ending as the buyer is claiming his insurance with UPS, the seller got paid and even got his now-chewed-up goods shipped back to him (in a new box) to photograph for posterity.
