Which is easier in World of Warcraft: PvE or PvP?
The “PvE vs PvP” topic is one of those recurring topics on any MMORPG forum which has gamers polarized. The same can be said in Blizzard‘s World of Warcraft, and quite frankly it all depends on the player.
The common argument is that PvE guys have it easier since you don’t have higher leveled characters ganking you as you’re trying to level up. Another related point is that PvE is easier given the fact that they get more loot since they can go on quests with impunity. Granted, these may be valid points, but you have to consider the playing field now.
A lot of players have commented that it is less chaotic now than in the early day of WoW where PvP servers were literally battlegrounds where spawn campers were everywhere and ganking was more of the norm rather than the exception. Nowadays, people have decided to play it more loose. The occasional ganking may still be there but it is possible to get through quests without actually getting murdered by the opposing faction. You could say it’s all balancing out in the end.
Who has it easier now? Well, it depends on your playing style. If you feel that taking down a few members of the opposing faction relaxes you and keeps you loose, then by all means go for the PvP server. For me, I’m with the PvE faction, just because I hate the fact that rogues pop out of nowhere and proceed to own my sorry butt.
