A Halo Wars press release from Microsoft officially/accidentally mentioned the Red Xbox 360 Elite that’s rumored to come with Resident Evil 5.
The press release was only supposed to talk about a promo deal in New Zealand, where anyone buying an Xbox 360 during a certain time period will receive a copy of Halo Wars.
Simple. Except someone made an oopsie when he included this little gem in there: “This Halo Wars offer does not apply to the Red Xbox 360 Elite console which is exclusive to EB games.”
A brilliant marketing ploy, or your average stupid mistake? Either way, looks like the Red Xbox 360 Elite is as good as confirmed. Microsoft was officially contacted for comment, but all they said was “we have nothing to announce at this time.”
Now please. No more RRoD jokes. Unless you have a really funny one.
