Who’s pansy now? Blue Dragon summons real shadows

We’ve always thought that people afraid of their own shadows are like the pansiest bunch of them all. There’s a slight caveat here, however. It’s one thing to be afraid of your own shadow, and it’s quite something else to fear the shadows of others. In the world of Shu, Kire, Jiro, Zora, and Marumaro, it’s kinda reasonable to be wetting your pants when faced with their shadows (given that you’re the bad guy, of course).

As seen in our Blue Dragon coverage, one of the game’s highlights is the ability to summon your shadow persona. We might have seen lots of pics in the past, but in this video, we finally get to see how the actual summon happens in Mistwalker/Artoon‘s game. We also see their inner shadows doing massive damage on the seemingly puny enemies. As each character has his or her own shadow, each shadow has its own elemental (or in other cases, non-elemental) attack as well.

So, in Warcraft-speak, “Tremble before the scourge!” Check out the vid and watch these shadows lay waste to the pansy little devils!
