Why the BW900 is a Class A Bluetooth Device
If you own a wireless headset from Nokia or Sony Ericsson and you feel satisfied with the performance of those headsets, you’ll think otherwise when you get to use the Sennheiser Electronic Corp.’s BW900 Bluetooth Headset. This is the first product from SEC to enter the heated Bluetooth devices market.
The BW900 is a device that can operate with a maximum range of 100 meters – a big advantage over Bluetooth headsets that can offer only a maximum range of 10 meters. Another feature of this product from Sennheiser is the Adaptive Intelligence technology incorporated in the headset. This allows the headset to adapt to the surrounding noise by adjusting the dynamic volume and microphone sensitivity to reduce impact of ambient noise. Manual adjustments can also be done.
The BW900 Bluetooth Headset has been designed to be used with other devices such as laptops, PDAs, mobile phones, office telephone systems and other gadgets that support the bluetooth headset profile. Also, with the technology it uses, the device is able to memorize the user’s preferred settings and adjust instantly when the sound environment changes.
Not bad at all. Now we wonder just how much this nifty little number costs – given its features and the Sennheiser name, we’re sure it won’t come cheap…
