Wii and DSi stores: payment system can’t exchange Nintendo Points
Unless you missed it because you were too busy ogling at the DSi’s new camera feature, Wii Points will soon be renamed to Nintendo Points. This is so they can also be used for the new DSi store. Word of note though – once you plug in the points into a system, they’re no longer interchangeable. You either spend the entire point card on a Wii, or a DSi. Not both.

The new cards will start circulation in November in Japan. Other regions will have to wait till next year before they get their own.
