Wii and FFXII winners in Edge Awards
The winners are in! It’s that time of the year again when different award giving bodies are dishing out trophies and recognition, we recently reported that The Sims creator, Will Wright is getting some love from the Producer’s Guild while the 360 GAMER Reader Awards needs your votes. Anyhow, the games magazine, Edge, has already revealed the winners of its 2006 Edge Awards.
The PS2 RPG from Square Enix, Final Fantasy XII, received the mag’s Best Game award. Not surprising since Edge gave it a nine-out-of-ten rating. Aside from that, Nintendo didn’t come out empty handed as they received awards for the Wii (Best Innovation), and the Nintendo DS (Best Hardware). Not only that, Nintendo was also named as the Best Developer for the year 2006.
Here are the other winners:
Best Visual Design – Okami
Best Audio Design – Dragon Quest: The Journey of the Cursed Kin
Best Publisher – Take Two
Best Online Experience – Test Drive Unlimited
Kudos to all the winners!
