Wii Caught With Its Front Flap Open

WiiFlapOpen

Here’s a pretty picture: Wii exposing itself. Scuttlebutt had it that this flap was covering the SD slot. We have now found this lovely photo of Mr. Wii, “baring it all” (click the thumbnail for a detailed view).

Look closely, and you will see a button above the SD slot that is labelled “SYNC.” Before you crack open the champagne and hire the band, however, note that while we can FINALLY see what’s in there, we still haven’t the faintest idea of what it does. Still, every mystery is composed of several smaller ones, and it’s nice to have made a bit of progress – no matter how small – on this one.

Anyone out there have some ideas on what this “SYNC” button is for? Or is it like an “appendix” – something that served a purpose at one time, but now just sort of sits there. Give us your feedback, below.
