Rumor has it that Sony‘s been developing their own motion sensing remote for the PlayStation 3.
According to one of Kombo’s sources who “has a superb track record for accuracy,” the remote is already finished and Sony’s looking for third-party publishers to support it in their games.
The source doesn’t give any details on how this not-Wiimote will actually function. Will it have the same sensitivity, or will it be enhanced? Will it support SIXAXIS games? Will it serve as the replacement of the SIXAXIS? No idea.
He does say though, that this not-Wiimote will not become the new standard for PS3 games, but will just be an added option. Confirmation of the rumor is expected this E3, as well as a list of compatible titles.
