Wii for all, Thanksgiving style
With the Wii just recently released to the public, its advertising campaign is still stamped fresh in our minds. Those TV spots which show people playing the Wii, and the “Wii would like to play” ad which shows all types of families coming together and happily playing games on the Wii are two standouts.
Well then, we’re happy to report that the ads are fairly accurate, and as a testament to the heart-warming phenomenon that is the Wii and the Wiimote, proud Wii owner AfricanSk8er shows everyone how they spent their Thanksgiving lunch.
In an email which he sent to GoNintendo, he tells his story:
“My mom works at this place where they take care of mentally/physically handicapped people. She had one of her wheelchair-bound clients come to our house for Thanksgiving lunch. After the meal, I pulled out the Wii, and pretty soon everyone was playing Wiisports Bowling. Even Cindy, the one in the wheelchair, was playing it and enjoying it. Nintendo has done a great job of attracting the non-gaming demographic.”
And he’s got pictures to prove it.
Could it be possible that perhaps the Wii can actually propagate world peace eventually? So long as everyone keeps their wrist straps on, I suppose.
