Wii Games To Cost $49.99?

WiiThe introduction of higher-priced games with the Xbox 360 is already causing trouble in certain situations, so for many Nintendo fans, it should come as a relief that Wii games most probably will be kept in the current-gen price range.

According to comments from Electronic Arts executives, first-party Wii games like Super Mario Galaxy will cost no more than $49.99. Confirmation of this has yet to be received from Nintendo, but it’s likely, with a Nintendo UK spokesperson reminding us that the company had already hinted at a price similar to current-gen ones at E3.

EA also took the opportunity to show their continued support for Nintendo’s console, remarking that Madden 2007 and Need for Speed: Carbon are on track for the launch title positions, with more Wii games in the pipeline.
