Wii goes DVD
Hankering for DVD-quality movies on the Wii? You’re in luck, as X-OOM Software has just launched the X-OOM Movies services for the Nintendo Wii console. Available in their official website, the program is priced at GBP 19.99 or around US$ 40.
X-OOM’s MJPEG-compatible software will enable Wii gamers to convert movies and TV programs for Wii playback. After installing the software into your PC, simply run the DVD of your choice in your PC and and save the file as “Movies on Wii”. Once the DVD is fully converted, just transfer the file into your Wii’s SD memory card. The software also allows movie editing (cutting scenes, etc.), and includes the Fit-To-Stick function that will let gamers load movies into the Wii memory card using the only available space.
It certainly a very useful tool for those who want to use the Wii’s full potential as a living room entertainment console.
