Using cheat codes on the Nintendo Wii has been made even easier thanks to linus’ Code Downloader. This app lets you download Wiird .txt files from the Wiird code database to your SD card.

Using cheat codes on the Nintendo Wii has been made even easier thanks to linus’ Code Downloader. This app lets you download Wiird .txt files from the Wiird code database to your SD card.

It even goes a step further by renaming the downloaded codes to match the games they’re for. In order to use the codes, though, you first have to convert them to the .gct format using WiiCM or CheatManager.

Here’s the very short changelog for Code Downloader v1.1:

• Removed colons (:) from file names. All games should work now.
