Homebrew - Custom IOS36 rev 05 - Image 1Waninkoko has released the latest Custom IOS36 Wii custom firmware, bumping it up to rev 7. Most of the changes involve improvements to the DIP plugin, though he didn’t go into specifics. Here’s the version history changelog since rev 5:

[ CIOS36 rev 07 ]:

  • DIP plugin updated (lots of improvements).

[ CIOS36 rev 06 ]:

  • Custom DIP module removed.
  • DIP module patched (DIP plugin) to support backups.

Meanwhile, waninkoko’s also rolled out MenuPatcher v1.0, which goes hand in hand with cIOS36 rev 7 (it’s actually required that you have rev 7 installed, before you can run MenuPatcher properly). What it does is to patch over the system menu in memory to make it run with cIOS36. Make sure you go thorugh the readme files included in the download archives.
