Wii homebrew developer waninkoko updated his Wii Firmware Updater to v4.0. The app allows you to update your Wii’s firmware, installing only the needed apps, such as IOS, System Menu, channels, and the like.

Wii homebrew developer waninkoko updated his Wii Firmware Updater to v4.0. The app allows you to update your Wii’s firmware, installing only the needed apps, such as IOS, System Menu, channels, and the like.
waninkoko didn’t leave us with a changelog, not even in the readme, so as far as that’s concerned, we can just play charades with the updater and see what it’s doing new. Do remember that the app comes with no warranty (it’s homebrew for pete’s sake), and waninkoko won’t be responsible if improper usage leads to broken Wiis – just passing the disclaimer around.
