Just when you thought you’ve seen it all. Wii brew developer Alanceil was missing his level tool at home, so he whipped up this brew to replace it. Talk about resourcefulness. So if by some chance you’d like to put a little more gaming into your domestic projects, here’s the homebrew for you!

Just when you thought you’ve seen it all. Wii brew developer Alanceil was missing his level tool at home, so he whipped up this brew to replace it. Talk about resourcefulness. So if by some chance you’d like to put a little more gaming into your domestic projects, here’s the homebrew for you!
Here’s how it works. Just put the Wiimote on top of a surface that you’d like to use as a reference, preferably the most level surface you can find, then press A. This will start the calibration. After that, you can put your Wiimote on other surfaces and see the difference in inclination.
Here’s the changelog:
- Fix: Leftover cursor pixel from previous tests removed
- Chg: Measuring is done in degrees
- Chg: Verbosity of calibration screen decreased
- Add: Detection if Wiimote #1 is up and running
- Add: Pictures
- Add: Calibration for maximum value on the wiimote when standing upright.
Actually, this is fun even if you have no real use for it. Just for fun, see if your house is tilting onto its side or something. Or is that just me being my juvenile self again? Try it.
